Net Zero DEMONSTRATOR PROGRAMME
The Net Zero Neighbourhoods demonstrator programme in the West Midlands is a project aimed at creating low-carbon energy communities within a selected cohort of neighbourhoods. The programme focuses on a holistic approach, incorporating home retrofitting, low carbon travel, green space interventions, and local energy generation. The goal is to reduce fuel poverty, tackle climate change, and create more sustainable and attractive communities. BWA spearheading the Community Engagement Element of the Net Zero Demonstrator Programme to foster resident participation, cultivate local champions, and co-design sustainability initiatives.
